Pre-school Dance
(ages 3-5): A fun introduction to dance designed to stimulate
creativity and imagination while encouraging a love for dance.
Ballet- Beginning levels: children are
taught the fundamentals and language of ballet in an atmosphere of
encouragement, discipline and warmth. Emphasis is on correct body
placement and developing a love for dance.
Ballet-Intermediate and Advanced Levels: Classical ballet training
continues and instruction concentrates on perfecting previous
skills.
Pointe- Training on Pointe begins only after
strong, comprehensive basic technique has been developed and the
feet, back and legs are sufficiently strong. Pointe is taught after
two or three years preparation in intermediated ballet classes.
Concurrent registration in ballet and permission of the instructor
are required.
Lyrical- Learn to use your body, mind,
language and imagination through creative dance.
Jazz- Rhythm and isolation develop a style of
dance which allows freedom and expression.
Tap- Tap is the art of sound. Traditional
techniques are taught with a new approach using elements of ballet,
jazz, urban, and lyrical.
