Revelation Chapter 5 The Redeemer Redeem - means to purchase
with a price; buy back -it is the picture of a slave in a
slave market who is purchased by His master -Jesus purchased us with His blood -
1 Peter 1:18-20 Revelation Chapter 5 verse 1 - Jesus Christ is still on
the throne -right hand - represents strength scroll - is sealed with 7 seals very
tightly. Igt has writing on it that is completed *sealed - means to seal up very very
tight This is the Title deed to the Earth
given to man, but lost to the enemy through sin in the garden of Eden.
This deed must be redeemed back into God's possession... verse 2 - angel - means a messenger
of God (strong) proclaim - means to speak loudly;
shout out some news in a public square like a herald worthy - means deserving *there is a search on to find a
redeemer, but none can be found vs3-4 - But - there is great
hope -elders - are born again believers -Jesus Christ comes forth as the
Redeemer of the universe Isaiah 59:12-21 ***it shows Jesus is God and the
only Savior of the world vs5-7 - we enter into a worship
experience in heaven -bring this heavenly worship
experience to earth - The Lord's Prayer Worship Brought from heaven to
earth: 1. Loud worship - this is the
lifting of our voices in unison glorifying the Lord -v3 - it is heard -silence mentioned in the Bible
almost every time speaks of death Remember: How we praise
depends on how well we know the One we praise 2. Everyone Worship - v13 -Christianity is a faith of
participation/involvement/ownership Praise reveals on the outside what
is happening on the inside 3. We are worshipping the Lord -
vs6,9,12 worthy - means deserving ***there are a lot of things we
could worship in this universe a. worshipping the Lord doesn't
change God, but it changes us b. worshipping the Lord is us
agreeing with what He has already said and shown us about who He is Who is Jesus Christ? a. A Lamb - means a loving, kind,
gentle, tender pet lamb - vs8-12, 13b b. The Savior - means to rescue c. Our Redeemer - v9 What has Jesus done for us? They sang a new song - Psalm
33:1-3;Psalm 96:1-9; Psalm 144:9 -only the saved can sing this song -it is the celebration of a new act
of deliverance and blessing into a person's life v10 - Jesus Christ has made us King
and Priests Kings - royalty and royal authority Priests - direct access to God v11 - billions and billions of
angels and Christians are going to be praising Jesus Christ in heaven vs12-14 - Jesus - the Lamb - is
praised for 7 reasons: 1. His Power - vs12-13 - dunamis in
the Greek meaning miraculous ability and great ability. -represents the possibilities of God 2. His spiritual riches -v12 - one
of whoich is being full and complete 3. His Wisdom - v12 - He is
Omniscient (all knowing) 4. His Might - (strength) - v12 - a
great force 5. His Honor - vs12-13 - to value
and respect to the Highest degree 6. His Glory - v13 - His presence
that is everywhere 7. His blessing - v13 - means His
fine speaking
