are supposed to rule and govern our lives
How to grow wise
children.............. a.) Give them an experience with
Jesus -parents must have thei experience
with Jesus to be able to give it
b.) give your children 3 gifts a.) the gift of love -love your children no matter what b. the gift of discipline - Prov
13:24 -discipline is a sign you love them c. the gift of encouragement -speak over them good things/build
them up/speak life
(2) HAPPINESS - v2 v2a - the things of this world will
never satisfy -we are not completely satisfied
with anything -only Jesus Christ satisfies There are two kinds of richness in
this life: 1.) Richness of having 2.) Richness of being 1.) RICHNESS OF HAVING
--------------------------this is all external - having more stuff It is the MYTH OF MORE..................... -this is thinking that more wil
lsatisfy, but more leads to more a.) we want more because we were
created to desire by God THOUGHT: Since we are not completely
satisfied with things and more, perhaps we were made for another world DECLARATION: Today is enough day -what we all have now is
enough. I only want more of Jesus and His stuff.......... v2b - the greatest treasure in the
universe is Jesus and life *righteousness produces lif -
earthly and eternal *zoe - the God kind of life
(John 3:16 and John 10:110) *on earth as it is in heaven 2.) RICHNESS OF BEING *this is an inner experience with
Jesus Christ which produces contentment *we are free from the treadmill of
having (3) HUNGRY - vs3-4 will not - there are some
things the Lord will not allow to happen famish - means to go hungry ***The Lord
Provides......................For who???????????????? The Righteous Soul 1.) saved - righteous in position 2.) Walk - right living One way the Lord provides is for
people to work................ v4a - slack - means to be lazy/does
not work hard/just pulls a paycheck v4b - those who work hard succeed *God rewards this kind of work
ethics (4) THE HERE AND THE HEREAFTER -
vs6-7 v6 - HERE blessings - means good things * God does not give us bad things 1. you do not have to pray for
blessings - Matthew 6:33 2. God is the source of all
blessings - they arrive on our heads (from out of the blue) 3. For the believer you can find a
blessing in everything that occurs v7 - HEREAFTER v7a - the Lord has some good
memories of those who are His kids -those memories allow us to enter
into heaven v7b - the Lord also has memories of
those who do not know Him and rejected Him rot - means to miss heaven
