revelation is the uncovering by God for humanity a body of knowledge formerly
hidden and totally undiscoverable by mankind -to make manifest -to unveil the unknown -it comes from God to man -it always goes along with the word

Revelation 1:1 - Jesus Christ JESUS CHRIST IS THE #1 AND CHIEF
SUBJECT OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION Jesus - means Jehovah saves -
Matthew 1:18-21 - a rescuer -Luke 10:19 Christ - means the Anointed One -Messiah -Acts 10:38 God - means the supreme and
exceedingly great God -all powerful, knowing and seeing servants - refers to believers and
means slave -willing to do anything -totally submissive -faithful and committed -do not have to be thanked for
anything -completely loyal shortly - means quickly; swiftly;
rapidly;with speed -speaks of the future - things to
come -time is flying by quicker than ever -the future events will come quickly signified it - means to announce;
point out; to show; to give a clear record John - means the Lord is gracious -John is the author of the book of
Revelation -written around 95-96AD -Domitian was the Roman Emperor and
it was a great time of persecution of Christians verse 2 - John was an eye-witness of
the life and ministry of Jesus and wrote it down verse 3 - Blessed - means supremely
happy; fortunate; well off -read, hear and keep - practice -
James 1:22-25 -there are 7 Beatitudes like in the

resulting in quiet, contentment, rest and tranquility -peace is the result of receiving
grace ***These 2 attributes come from: the One who Is - present the One who was - has done great
things -the one who is to come - He is
returning - He will do great things in the future seven spirits - Isaiah 11:2 -there is one Holy Spirit who has 7
characteristics or qualities that He can express verse 5 - Characteristics of Jesus
Christ 1, He is the Faithful Witness 2. Jesus is the first-born from the
dead - the first one to resurrect 3. Jesus is ruler over all the Kings
of the earth -Jesus is in control and is the
highest authority in the universe 4. Jesus loves us -it is in the present tense in the
Greek 5. Jesus washes away sins -in the present tense in the Greek -Jesus washes us and keeps on
washing us
