Revelation Revelation - means to unveil;take
the lid off; uncover *discover what is hidden *comes form God to man *goes along with the word *it is a Revelation of jesus Christ Jesus - means Jehovah saves Christ - the Anointed One (Messiah) v5 - is a description of Jesus
Christ v6 - what the Lord has done for us ***He has made us: -to create -made us into something special a.) we are children of God - John
1:12 "He has made us a Kingdom" -to means to guarantee us a place in
His Kingdom b.) we are priests - 1 Peter
2:9 1. priests are ministers 2. priests offer sacrifices to God 3. priests have access to God v7 behold - the word means to pay
attention to what is about to be said ***Jesus Christ is coming - it will
happen - A PROMISE with clouds - represents the glory
of God -Matthew 24:29-30 -every eye will see Him - because of
His glory and satellite technology a.) those who pierced Him - those in
hell b.) those alive will mourn - the
judgment of God will fall AMEN - means so be it/I totally
agree v8 - I am - shows Jesus Christ is
God Exodus 3;13-15 & John 8:58 Alpha and Omega - these are the
first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. It shows Jesus has always
been Who Is - a 21st century God Almighty - the Sovereign God v9 - John - the author whose name
means the Lord is gracious John desribes Himself in several
ways: -a fellow partner - speaks of being
part owner/a stockholder
-speaks of being a brother -one who faces pressure -
tribulation/anguish/burden/trouble -saved and baptized with the Holy
Spirit -Kingdom -perseveres - means to be
consistent/continue on/don't quit or give up The Island of Patmos - John is being
banished to this island at the age of around 85 -Caesar worship is worshipping
Caesar as God -Patmos was a small island made up
of rocks and mines -John stood on the word and lived
for the Lord v10 - during trials and pressure,
stay in the Spirit in the spirit - means an inspired
state created by God the Lord's Day - is Sunday -this is the voice of the Lord and
it can be loud at times v11 - this is what the voice is
saying book - is the greek word Biblion
where we get the word Bible from... -it refers to a papyrus or scroll
which for Revelation would have been around 15 feet in length -7 is the # of completion -
represents the entire church age v12 - 7 Golden lampstands - represnt
the church which should be the light of the light of the world v13 - Jesus Christ is in the middle
of the church -the church is okay because Jesus
Christ is the Center of the church...........
