Proverbs 11 Secrets From Solomon
(1) SOMETHING HAS TO GUIDE US -
vs2-3 -something will guide us and has to
guide us in many areas of our lives
v3 - states that integrity should
guide the believer
Integrity - means strong adherence
to a code of behavior -this is the voice of God which
lines up to the will of God and the Word of God
Guide - speaks of a Shepherd guiding
a lamb through dangerous places -landmines are dangerous -watch out for the landmine of pride *Pride holds you back *pride causes you to fall *pride is something God is against Characteristics of pride: arrogance - thinking you are
something and more than you really are a refusal to lisetn to others - you
know it all a lack of submission to authority -
a spirit of rebellion bragging - on yuo and your own
accomplishments the
inability to receive a compliment

DO RIGHT ALL OF THE TIME - vs4-5 a.)
to do right, you must be right - v4 -there
comes a point in life when it is too late to come to terms with God -you
cannot pay your way into heaven b.)
do right because you can do right -a
divine nature lives within you c.)
do right all of the time -by
making right choices d.) do right when everyone else does
wrong (3) NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH
ANYTHING - vs1,6 Ex: this verse speaks of dishonest
business practices v6a - the righteous - the believer -the righteous should not have
hidden sin in their lives. They should want everything revealed and dealt
with righteous - means a right standing
with God -
means a right walk with God -salvation means to make someone
whole... v6b - the Unrighteous - the
unbeliever -the unbeliever hides things, but
they will get caught ***NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH ANYTHING*** (everything will be found out here
or there)
(4) EVIL NEVER WINS - vs7-9 v7 - there is no hope after death
without Jesus Christ -there is hope
after death with Jesus Christ vs 8-9 - 2 Statements 1. it seems
like evil is winning at times - v8 delivered - means to be liberated
with gentle effort EX: Daniel in the lions den 2. it seems
like serving the Lord isn't worth it -those who do not know the Lord are
being blessed and I know the Lord and barely make it
