Hands
(1) The laying on of hands is a doctrine or
principle that is found in God's word - Hebrews 6:1-2
-it is a foundational principle
(2) The laying on of Hands is a part of the Great
Commission - Mark 16:14-18
(3) The Laying on of Hands is to receive a blessing
- Genesis 27:27-29
-from parents
-from the Lord
(4) The Laying on of Hands is realizing that our
hands are the hands of the Lord - Mark 6:2
-everything we have and are belong to the
Lord
-sealed with the Holy Spirit - speaks of
ownership
-use our hands to serve God
4 Things that Occur when Hands are laid on People -
(1) They receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit -
Acts 19:1-7 & 8:14-25
-you SEE something going on
-the many evidences of receiving the baptism of the
Holy Spirit
(2) They get healed - Acts
5:12;14:3;19:11;28:8-----------------Luke 13:10-13 & 4:40
(3) There is a confirmation and impartation that
occurs - Dt 34:9 & 1 Tim 4:14
-an impartation of wisdom, strength and the
goodness of God
-a confirmation in the gifts you already possess -
2 Tim 1:6
stir - means to resuscitate;rekindle
(4) There is a local church sending out into a new
chapter in a person's life - Acts 13:1-3 & Numbers 27:22-23
-the blessing of a Pastor concerning ministry,
staff concerns
