PRAYER THAT HITS THE BULLSEYE EVERY TIME

EPHESIANS 6:18

Prayer Point #1

God chose, from the time of creation, to work on the earth through human beings, not independent of them

Prayer Point #2

God is attracted to Weakness

PRAYER THAT HITS THE BULLSEYE EVERY TIME

(1) PRAY THE WORD - Ephesians 1:16-19/Ephesians 3:14-21/Colossians 1:9-11

*The Bible is absolute truth and God's word for todays society

a.) Watch out for the conditions

-Exodus 15:26 - healing

-John 15:7 - hear and answer my prayers

b.) praying the word is also reminding God about His promises - Isaiah 62:6

(2) PRAY IN TONGUES - Romans 8:26-28

-speaking in tongues does not save anyone

-speaking in tongues is not the emphasis in Christianity

-speaking in tongues is for today, Biblical and for everyone

v26 - the Holy Spirit is present to help us in difficult times and make our weak prayers effective

-the Holy Spirit knows what to pray for all of the time

v27 - the Holy Spirit prays the will of God every time because it is God praying through us

v28 - the result

(3) PRAY ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL  - 1 John 5:14-15

-we know God's will because it is found in God's word

- 2 Examples:

a.) Matthew 9:38 - to bring forth laborers

b.) Matthew 6:9-11 - to bring in His Kingdom

***this is bringing in the grace of God on earth

***this is bringing in the second coming of Jesus Christ

*******Now this does not mean that everything in life will be easy*******

There are 3 aspects of God's will

1. His Sovereign Will - there are things that are going to happen like the return of the Lord

2.His Moral Will - this is revealed in His commands and word

-1 Thessalonians 4:3

3. His Personal Will - these are personal decisions for each believer's life

Your Will Be Done - means to submit to it and be satisfied with it

(4) PRAY AS YOU ARE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT - Romans 8:14

-you are led as you listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit - what to pray/how to pray

a.) the Holy Spirit will lead you to pray for yourslef -

supplications - Phil 4:6-7

b.) The Holy Spirit will lead you to join with others to pray - Matthew 18:18-19

-the prayer of agreement

*Jesus states that He will be there - Matthew 18:20

agree - say the same thing that God says; to harmonize together like a symphony

*******OUR POWER INCREASES WITH NUMBERS*******

-Deuteronomy 32:30

-that is why the enemy tries to divide us
