Why do the Will of God?

- We
have been guilted, harassed, encouraged, challenged, threatened, into
doing the will of God? But those types of motivation don’t last, they
don’t have power. So WHY?
- How
does God see his will in relation to our life, what motivates Him?
- In the
beginning God?
- Gen
1:1 God is doing God things, creating unfathomable galaxies and universes
- What
was the crowning achievement of this period of creation? Mankind
i.
Not Adam and Eve but all of mankind Psa 139:16 you numbered my days before I was
even made
ii.
Psa 139:1-6 God knows everything about you, every fear,
failure, screw-up and yet in vs 13-14 David knew he was fearfully and
wonderfully made. We are looking at the post fallen creation, God sees in his
heart what he said was “Very good.”
- That
was then but what about now?
- Psa
40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which Thou hast done, and Thy
thoughts toward us; there is none to compare with Thee; If I would
declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count.
i.
“the heavens declare
your glory”. BUT His thoughts towards US are too numerous to count. (Amizmiz,
the stars, Abraham try and count)

31:3 The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with
EVERLASTING love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.
- Jn 3:16 God SO LOVED that He gave

5:8 God DEMONSTRATED His love by sending Jesus to die while we were still
sinners. He didn’t just talk the talk, He walked the walk

2:4-5 God being rich in mercy, because of His GREAT LOVE with which He
loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive
together with Christ

3:1 See how GREAT a LOVE the Father has given to us that we should be
called the children of God, AND SUCH WE ARE!!!
- God
has plans for you, purpose and value
- Jer
29:11 For I KNOW the plans that I have FOR YOU, declares (proclaims,
trumpets) the Lord (Shout out plans over the congregation)…. To give you
a future and a hope
- Eph
2:10 For WE ARE His workmanship, CREATED in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared BEFOREHAND, that we might walk in them. (this was in
God’s heart from the beginning, before the beginning, now we are seeing
His heart’s cry for us)
- What
now, if I have failed so far.

Vs 17 come to your senses, understand that we have
bought a lie

Vs 22-24 KNOW that the heart of the Father is for you,
not against you

2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance
and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to
repentance?

God is not angry, He is on your side, He is for you not
against you!!!!!
- Psa
51:3-4, 7 For I know my transgression, and my sin is ever before me.
Against Thee, Thee only, I have sinned, and done what is evil in Thy
sights. Purify me with hyssop, and I SHALL BE CLEAN; wash me, and I SHALL
BE whiter than snow
- Therefore
if any man is in Christ, HE IS A NEW CREATURE; the old things passed
away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God,
who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of
reconciliation.
- Logical,
real reasons why God can’t use me
- I am
unclean, I am dirty Yes,

God says in Him you can
God says it is the very best
thing that could happen in your life
