THE NAME

Ephesians 6:12

1.) The Name of Jesus is above all names - Philippians 2:5-11

-above every name of every person, organization, circumstance, sickness, situation  and position

-every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess

-Jesus Christ is God - Colossian 1:15-18

-do not take the name of the Lord in vain

                   *commandment #3

                   *Exodus 20:7

2.) There is power in that Name -

a.) the name has always worked - Hebrews 13:8

ACTS 4:12 - POWER TO SAVE

salvation - means to rescue

no other - means no other options;no second choices; exclusively one way

                   a.) when I receive Jesus, then my identity is in the name of Jesus Christ

Remember 2 things:

               1. know the difference between your who and your do

-our identity is not in what we do or our performance, job, business or ministry

                2. a bad moment, decision, event or time in your life does not alter or change your identity concerning who you are in Christ

ACTS 3:1-10 - POWER TO HEAL

heal - means to make whole

***the name is what heals us

***expectation helps in the healing process

  ACTS 16:16-18 - POWER OVER THE ENEMY

-we are fighting from a place of victory and not for victory

-Command - we must command the enemy to flee

-stay away from occult practices - Dt 18:9-14

3.) His Name must be called on and believed in - Acts 2:12/John 1:12/Romans 10:9-10

-confess and believe that we have sinned and that He is God and our Savior
